the third painting of a series named „outside in“.
even though it is meant as a single piece, it goes really well with its‘ sister piece „soft on the inside“ (same dimensions).
my fascination for street art breaks through in this series. the rough surfaces, the often intense colours, the fleeting nature of a work’s existence in the streets. in „outside in“, I recreate the rough texture of a house wall on canvas, then apply layer upon layer of paint. The works are colour-intensive, casual and simply in a good mood.
